Rosita Grönfors, Ramskakvinnofurum, Sweden
In 2003 the International Romnja and Travelling Women’s Center was founded. Rosita Grönfors is the director of the organization that works with women who are exposed to threats, violence, or other forms of oppression. In 2013 it was discovered that the Swedish police was keeping a database with information on over 4,000 Roma.

Farid, Urgence Notre Police Assassine (Help! Our Police Murder), France
The collective „Help! Our Police Murder“ is a network of families who have lost a member because of being unjustly killed by the police. They have realized that they are their own best attorneys and have decided that “We will never give up because without justice, we will be the jury and they will never have peace.“

Hanım Tosun, Saturday Mothers (Cumartesi Anneleri), Istanbul
Since 1995 the so-called Saturday mothers have been meeting in Istanbul to commemorate their disappeared sons and husbands. Hanım Tosun, whose husband disappeared during imprisonment in 1995, talks about her long struggle against disappearing and forgetting – and the history of an impressive movment of remembrance and resistance.

Lân and Châu Initiative, Hamburg
The Initiative to Remember Nguyễn Ngọc Châu und Ðỗ Anh Lân commemorates two people who sought refuge in Hamburg in 1980 as boat people from Vietnam. They were murdered on August 22, 1980 in an arson attack on a dormitory for refugees by rightwing extremists. In the wake of discussions set off by the discovery of the NSU, survivors, friends, activists formed a group to create space for public remembrance and commemoration.

Moderation: Anja Soon-Hyun Michaelsen, Lecturer in Cultural and Media Studies, teaches cultural studies, Critical Ethnic Studies and Gender and Queer Studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum.

Osman Taşköprü, Brother of Süleyman Taşköprü, murdered by the NSU in 2001
Was born in Turkey and has lived in Hamburg since he was one year old. A professional glass installer, his hobby is football. For ten years police and “the people” believed the family was responsible for Süleyman’s death.

Abbas Doğan, Alliance “Day of Solidarity”
Was founded after the discovery of the NSU and organizes a remembrance event every year to commemorate Mehmet Kubaşık and the other victims of the NSU crimes.

Ibrahim Arslan, survivor of the arson attack in Mölln in 1992
The young boy who survived is a man today. A German of Turkish background who does not make any bones about being a vicitim of rightwing violence and demanding redress. Ibrahim Arslan was seven years old when the house of his family in Mölln was set on fire with Molotov cocktails by arsonists Michael Peters and Lars Christiansen. “This reversal of the perspectives of the perpetrator and vicitm was not discovered by the NSU terror,” says Ibrahim Arslan. It is a societal “reflex” that often manifests itself after rightwing-motivated attacks.

Abdullah Özkan, Survivor and Initiative Keupstraße ist Überall (Keup Street Is Everywhere Initiative)
Abdullah Özkan stood at the door as the nail bomb exploded in the hair salon in Keup street.
As he came out of the hospital on the day of the attack and tried to pick up his car at Keup street, he was picked up by the police and interrogated for almost seven hours. It did not stop with the interrogation; he was treated like a perpetrator for the next seven years.

2003’te kurulan uluslararası Roman Kadınlar Forum başkanı olan Rosita Grönfors, baskı, tehdit ve şiddete maruz kalan kadınlarla birlikte çalışıyor. 2013 yılında İsveç Polis kayıtlarında 4.000’den fazla Romanın olduğu açığa çıktı.

„Urgence notre police assassine!“ Kolektifi (Yardım edin, bizim polisimiz öldürüyor!) polis tarafından haksız yere öldürülen insanların ailelerinin oluşturduğu bir ağ.

Hanım Tosun, Cumartesi Anneleri, Türkiye
1995 yılından bu yana Cumartesi Anneleri İstanbul’da toplanıyor ve kaybedilen oğullarını ve eşlerini anıp, onların nerede olduklarını soruyor. Hanım Tosun 1995 yılında gözaltında kaybedilen eşi için kaybolma ve unutmaya karşı yıllardır verdiği mücadeleyi anlatıyor.

Lân und Châu İnisiyatifi, Hamburg
1980’de Vietnam’dan Hamburg’a gelen (Boat People) ve 22 Ağustos 1980’de aşırı sağcılar tarafından çıkarılan yangında kaldıkları mülteci barınağında hayatını kaybeden Nguyễn Ngọc Châu ve Ðỗ Anh Lân anısına kuruldu. 2012 yılından bu yana kamusal anma ve hatırlamayı tekrardan mümkün kılmaya çalışan inisiyatif, NSU suçlarının açığa çıkmasından sonra 1980 saldırısından sağ kurtulanlar, arkadaşları ve aktivistlerin bir araya gelmesiyle oluştu.

Abbas Doğan, Bündnis „Tag der Solidarität“ (Dayanışma Günü Birliği) Dortmund’da NSU örgütünce öldürülen Mehmet Kubaşık ve diğer kurbanları anmak için her yıl anma yürüyüşü düzenliyor.

İbrahim Arslan, Mölln 1992 yangını mağduru
23 Kasım 1992’de İbrahim evleri ateşe verildiğinde yedi yaşında bir çocuktu, hayatta kaldı ve şimdi o yetişkin bir erkek. Türkiye kökenli bir Alman, sağ şiddet mağduru olan İbrahim suskun kalmıyor ve taleplerini dile getiriyor.

Abdullah Özkan, Mağdur & Keupstraße ist überall İnisiyatifi
2004’te Köln Keupstrasse’de bir kuaförün önünde çivili bomba patladığında Abdullah Özkan kapıda duruyordu. Saldırı akşamı hastaneden çıkıp Keupstrasse’deki arabasını almaya geldiğinde polisler tarafından götürüldü ve yaklaşık yedi saat ifadesi alındı. Sadece bir defalığına mahsus kalmadı ve yedi yıl boyunca mağdurlar tıpkı bir suçlu muamelesi gördüler.
